Kano State Government on Wednesday sealed a private clinic, Tiga Clinic and Maternity, in Fagge Local Government Area for alleged unethical practice.
A statement from the state Ministry of Health in Kano stated that the closure was ordered by the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Private Health Institutions.
The Special Assistant, Salisu Ibrahim, said that the clinic lacked qualified personnel with only one nurse on duty whose service to the patients was below standard.
He said the clinic lacked an injection room, while the hospital environment was unhygienic.
Ibrahim said the administration of Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, would not condone unwholesome acts, especially in health care delivery to the people.
He commended the efforts of Me Cure Clinics; Crown Dental clinic and Optimum Eye Centre, for the quality services they were providing to their patients.
