
A serious fire outbreak has engulped a sawmill market at Pako bus stop, Ipaja road, Lagos state.
The fire which started at about 3:08 am, in the early hours of Tuesday, January 7, got the immediate attention of the Lagos state fire service men who arrived the scene with two trucks of 50,000 litres of water battling hard to douse the fire and was finally put out at about 7:28am.
The Public Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), Mr. Farinloye Ibrahim disclosed to our reporter that the fire service men responded immediately when they got to know of the outbreak.
"The joy of is that the fire has been put out as they were there with two trucks of 50,000 litres of water to put the fire out and no death was recorded."
However, the cause of the outbreak has not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
